The EKE 0550 Automatic Pressure System is used to apply lateral pressure in the Hoek Cell during the triaxial testing of rock specimens.
The power pack is equipped with a proportional valve to provide sensitive control of the loading rate and to maintain a constant confining pressure to within 0.1 bar. Pressure is controlled by using the PID closed loop controlled electronics. The user can define the set lateral pressure and display the lateral pressure through the EK.EC 100 control and readout unit.

EK.EC 100 TFT unit is designed to control the power pack and processing of data from pressure transducers that are fitted to the power pack.
All the operations of EK.EC 100 is controlled from the front panel consisting of an 800×480 pixel 65535 color resistive touch screen display and function keys 4 analog channels are provided for loadcells, pressure transducers, or displacement transducers.
EK.EC 100 has easy-to-use menu options. It displays all menu option listings simultaneously, allowing the operator to access the required option in a seamless manner to activate the option or enter a numeric value to set the test parameters. Its specimen setting sub-menu lists different specimen types including but not limited to cube, cylinder, block, beam, beam double upper bearers, cube splitting tensile, cylinder splitting tensile, paving block splitting tensile, and Kerb flexure. The EK.EC 100 digital graphic display is able to draw real-time “Load vs. Time” or “Stress vs. Time” graphics.
EK.EC 100 unit offers many additional unique features. You can save more than 10000 test results in its internal memory. Storage capacity can be increased up to 32 GB using SD memory cards or USB disk drives. EK.EC 100 unit has support for various off-the-shelf USB printers, supporting both inkjet and laser printers. EK.EC 100 unit is equipped with a built-in internal camera which can save real-time video during testing for security purposes. Thanks to its built-in internet protocol suite, every aspect of EK.EC 100 devices can be controlled remotely from anywhere around the world. Last but not the least, EK.EC 100 has support for Android tablets permitting you to control and monitor your testing equipment remotely.
